Project Descriptions
Our project is a simple set of pill dispensers that provide pills one-at-a-time to a user. When the pills are drained to a certain point, such as below a week's worth, a small device will let off a beeping sound for five seconds to warn the user that the pills are low. The particular user we have designed this for is a seventy-year-old MS patient that is mostly blind, which is why we plan for the final design to also include a way to count the dispensers without being seen, as they would be ordered and "number one" would be marked. The dispensers make sure that there are enough pills left in the dispensers by use of a simple arduino SONAR device.
